Ambassadors serve as a link between the student community and the alumni community.

Events we contribute to include:

 The Distinguished Lecture Series

Through Trinity’s Distinguished Lecture Series, students and the San Antonio community have the opportunity to attend free lectures by influential individuals of diverse backgrounds and opinions.

Past lecturers include John Glenn, former German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder, Pakistani opposition leader Benazir Bhutto, and documentary filmmaker Ken Burns.

The Ambassadors participate as ushers and enjoy the privilege of attending the post-lecture reception with the speaker.

Alumni Weekend

Each October, close to a thousand Trinity alumni return to campus for a weekend to catch up with their classmates and Trinity.  The Ambassadors have the opportunity to visit with alumni at all of the reunions and other events that take place during the weekend.

Policy Maker Breakfast

The Policy Maker Breakfast program is a series of breakfast seminars available to Trinity’s Business Affiliate and University communities. The series hosts eminent policy makers from the fields of journalism, politics, and business. Past speakers include Christiane Amanpour, Scott McClellan, Tom Ridge, and former Mexican President Ernesto Zedillo.

Making Connections

Making Connections is a series of networking events that allow current students to meet with alumni, strengthening Trinity’s alumni network and giving students the chance to learn about life after college.

Senior Events

After four years as Trinity students, our seniors love to kick back, relax, and enjoy their final weeks in style.

The Ambassadors host several events for them, including the Casino Tower Party, Faculty/Senior Happy Hour, and the Last Great Reception.

The President’s Dinner

At the annual President’s Dinner, the Ambassadors participate in the March of Scholars, representing the current Trinity student body to supporters of the University.

The Roast

The Roast is a recent Trinity tradition hosted by the Ambassadors in which students and faculty “roast” a faculty member. Past “roastees” include Dean Tuttle and former Student Body President Manny Gonzalez. It is a hilarious, fun way to kick of the Senior Scholarship Campaign.

The Outstanding Young Alumnus/Alumna Luncheon

Ambassadors work at this luncheon honoring a young alumnus/a whose achievements in their profession or chosen field and in service to the community set a standard of excellence worth of recognition by the University and the Alumni association. The individual must have graduated within the past 15 years.
